It's been a while since I have given an update on the girls so I thought I would take some time to do that and share some recent pictures. These two bring me more joy than I could ever imagine. I look forward to seeing their smiling faces every afternoon when I get home from school. The girls will be 18 months old in a couple of weeks. They keep us laughing constantly and we love watching them learn and grow. The most common phrase at our house right now is....."Monkey see...monkey do!!" If sister is doing it...than so am I! The girls have a new favorite song as well. It should be the song you are listening to now. They dance in the backseat when it comes on and say "Uh Oh" over and over!!!
Oh that Logan!!! She's something alright! My dad put it best..."Does she ever sit down??" The answer would be a BIG....NO!!! She is so active. She can now get on the couch and the recliner. We have caught her several times standing in our computer chair dancing her heart out. She loves to dance. She's got some pretty good moves too! She is talking a lot more. Some of her new words are: Paw Paw, Nana, Abbie (her buddy at church), Sugar (our dog), cookie, baby, and Jeff's favorite...ROLL TIDE! She is always talking but a lot of it we don't understand. I'm beginning to wonder if there is a twin language developing between the two of them. She is learning how to point to body parts. If you ask her what Mama says, she will shake her finger and say "No, No!". She hears it all the time so she should know that! She can be quite bossy to little sister. She loves her "Bibby" though. She gives her kisses all the time. Logan is definitely the wild one...but that's our Logan and we love her that way!
Sweet Libby.....Libby is just about the opposite of everything I just described. She is beginning to talk more. Her favorite word is still "Da Da". She's a Da Da's girl. She's also our little snuggle bug. She loves to sit with us and watch Logan run around like a wild child! She is very tenderhearted and cries more often. She loves to be held and does not appreciate it when you sit her down when she wakes up in the morning. I have dried my hair on more than one occasion with a baby on my hip. She's just a lover! I love her latest "trick". She has learned to pretend that she's asleep. She'll be standing there and close her eyes and look down. We say, "Libby...you're not asleep!!!" She gets the biggest grin on her face and just giggles. She is so proud of herself! Libby loves to dance too! You should see her do the robot...it's quite impressive and entertaining.
This year is going great so far. We have an AWESOME sitter...Angie. She takes such good care of our girls. You know you've got someone good when your kids stand at the window and cry when she leaves. Their little buddy Kerrigan is also staying at our house during the day. Logan loves touching Kerrigan's feet and Libby just likes to poke her and giggle. Logan also tries to help take care of her. The other day I got the privilege of giving that sweet baby her bottle and Logan was determined that she wanted her passie instead. So when Kerrigan refused, Logan just put it in her own mouth! What a nut!
Here are some pictures Angie took over the last week or so.
My mom took this one.....
Roll Tide!!!
