A New Place to Play....

I have been wanting the girls to have a playroom for awhile now. Their toys have taken over our living room and I was beginning to see it getting worse each month. I realized that we weren't going to have room for a Christmas tree if we didn't get another place for these toys. So...after looking at some our friend's houses, we came up with the idea to convert our 3rd bedroom into a playroom for Libby and Logan. My dad and I painted the room yesterday and we moved the toys in today. I am very happy with how it turned out. The girls love it and I know they will spend a lot of time in there. My favorite part is not having to clean up toys every night. Finally, a place for all the toys.

The girls will also have a new sitter when I start back to school. We are excited to have Miss Angie taking care of our sweet girls this year. They will also have a new playmate. My friend Leah's little one, Kerrigan will join them after Labor Day. Kerrigan is one month old. Here she is.....

Isn't she cute???
(Stole this from your blog Leah..hope you don't mind)

While my Dad and I painted the room, I couldn't help picturing all three girls learning, growing, and having fun in the new room. By the end of the school year, Kerrigan will be about where Libby and Logan are now. Those girls are gonna have tons of fun for sure!!!

Here are some before/after pics!

Before the room was our guest room....

Family Beach Trip 2010

I can't believe how fast this summer has gone by. Is it really almost August? This is has been a wonderful and relaxing summer for myself and the girls. A few weeks ago we went to the beach with my whole family. We had a great time. We ate great seafood, enjoyed the sand/water, played games, and got to spend a lot of time with each other. We stayed in a beautiful house at the Martinque in Fort Morgan. This is our fourth year staying at the Martinque. We love it there. It is very quiet and a great place for a family vacation. We had two days of rain but that allowed for some great card games. We also played a new game called "Apples to Apples". Jeff bought it and it is really fun.  The girls loved the swimming pools. It wore them out. One day Logan even fell asleep while I was holding her in the pool. Give me a float and I could do the same! :) We also ate at our favorite place, The Oyster House. We love that place.

We were at the beach for the Fourth of July too! The place where we stay has a Fourth of July Golf Cart Parade. Every house has a golf cart and on the 4th each house decorates their cart and drives through the property together passing out candy, beads, and playing music. Jeff wished everyone a "Merry Christmas" as they went by him.....what a nut!!

We also celebrated two birthdays while we were there. On July 8th, Chris turned 34 and Major turned 4. We celebrated at Lamberts for dinner. Afterwards, we went to play some Putt-Putt and then headed back to the house for some birthday cake, ice cream, and presents.

The girls loved swimming at the pool. Libby loved her float. Logan...not so much. We weren't really that surprised by that. She loves her freedom and the float didn't give her any. (just like her daddy) Libby loved just floating around. (just like her mama)

We also took the girls to the beach. Libby loved the sand and Logan loved the water...go figure!

The best part of our trip was getting to spend time with family. The girls loved playing with their cousins. Logan learned a few new words while we were down there. She now says "mine". (Thank you Madyson) She also can say "Paw Paw". I know my dad is thrilled with that. She also says "No, No". I guess I taught her that. She sure hears it a lot.

Here are some more pics from the week.

Thank you Daddy for our chocolate sucker!!!
